The minor services usually take place every 5000 / 10,000 / 15,000 kms while the major servicing process is done around every 25000 / 30,000/ 45,000 km depending on the model and make of the car.

Quick Service:
A quick service, as the name suggests, that is completed in a limited time of 15 to 30 minutes, usually include Engine Oil & Filter change, top up of critical fluids like brake fluid, engine coolant, washer fluid. It also includes a quick visual inspection and usually covers up to 25 basic checkpoints.
However not all the garages do these unless a customer is aware of the points. A clear awareness of what type of materials are used in Top up and if it is as per the manufacturer recommendations can potentially save your vehicle.
A test drive is always recommended after completion of a quick service.
Periodic Service:
An additional 20 checkpoints added to a quick service sums up to be your periodic service. A periodic service checks conditions of all the safety systems in the vehicle including a detailed Braking & Suspension system Inspection. A periodic service also includes replacement of defective parts found during inspection.
A test drive and a follow up inspection is always recommended after a periodic service.
Major Service:
A major service includes all the items included in a periodic service. The services also covers change of components such as Spark Plugs, Transmission oils, Air Filters, Drive Belts, etc, according to recommended intervals.
The major service should be always part of your vehicle usage since these often leads to issues that goes un-noticed until a breakdown occurs.
A test drive and a follow up inspection is always recommended after a Major service.
Manufacturer's Service:
A manufactures service is the most comprehensive service you can perform on your vehicle. The service covers almost 50 major checkpoints and inspections. The service usually follows all replacements policies by the manufacturer irrespective of the condition of the parts.
This type of service is usually expensive and at the same time ideal for the vehicle performance. The service generally gives you an extended lifespan of the vehicle and less downtime.
